Discovering Noma Café: A Hidden Gem

Life has been crazy lately so I haven’t written in a while but here I am with another article on affordable places to eat in the CBD.
I recently stumbled upon Noma Café, a charming old coffee shop located on Banda Street near GPO Stage. Tucked away on a quiet street, I was pleasantly surprised to find the café uncrowded, with plenty of seating available both on the ground floor and upstairs. I chose the upstairs area for its added privacy.
After perusing the menu, I decided on the beef biryani for Ksh 400 and a Coca-Cola for Ksh 100. The service was impressive; our orders were taken promptly, and the food arrived quickly. The menu itself was refreshingly concise, spanning just four pages without any pictures. While I was initially skeptical, my partner assured me that the food was delicious.
I can confidently say that the biryani did not disappoint! It was so good that I forgot to take pictures before diving in. Trust me, you’ll just have to take my word for it! I will definitely be returning, as it’s clear the chef takes pride in their cooking and is not just in it for the money. With meals starting at just Ksh 500, Noma Café is a fantastic spot to enjoy a tasty meal without breaking the bank. However, if you are more interested in modern interior and not the food, this might not be the spot for you.
Thanks for reading see you on the next article!
